Dehumo Bickersteth: What a Life...Longing, Searching, Hoping

free your mind

mu'blog - mu'blog social commentary

We spend our youth rushing to school and finishing up assignments and studying for exams. We spend our adult life rushing to work, for meetings, chasing clients, conference calls. We spend our lives rushing, in a hurry to get to nowhere in particular, to finish something that has not end, we are rushing because that is what we do... but it is not who we are. I feel it's important to always take a moment to breathe, to get to know yourself, to remind yourself that you are you. To enjoy the life that flowing through your body. Breathe.

Feel, Feel the wind on your back
Reach out and touch the clouds
Breath, breath in the night
Relax, free your mind

Gettting away from the hustle and bustle
The ticking clocks and the movement of the masses
You're Running late and the traffic is heavy
The meeting's started and you're not ready

doing everything but nothing gets done
working over time, you never know the time
thinking in your sleep and sleeping while you walk
deadlines on your mind and no points for second place

you've got to take a break,
you've got to back it up,
you've got to step it down a notch
you're here but you're not here,
you're there but you're not there,
you're losing touch with reality

You know just what to say,
you know just what to do
but you don't know how you feel no more
Your heart is in your mind,
your mind is in your heart,
your life went for a walk and never came back

Feel, Feel the wind on your back
Reach out and touch the clouds
Breath, breath in the night
Relax, free your mind
